(Overall Final Results Here)

May 10:
We got our first day of racing in at last. Rain washed out last week’s efforts in spite of Brian’s proposal that any die-hard racer who wished was welcome to give it a try; seems on one did.
We had the a moderate NE wind with the usual flaky conditions we can see in off the point in Victoria Park. The master of windshift control took the day handily, in spite of us trying to get the better of him. Congrats Brian for the convincing rout of the rest of us!
Fantasy 32’s did not race as only 2 were present.

May 17: NE winds again this week, but MUCH stronger than last week! A few boats were spun around in big gusts and boats flat in the water were not uncommon.
Winning was shared around with some close races, as evidenced by the final result.
Fantasy 32’s did not race.

May 24 Today the SW wind kicked in, though gusty. Again we had some close racing. He who makes a mistake is done; no chance to make up for it. Missing marks, over early at the start will put you back. Especially if you do both in the same race! Regretfully, Bill Cope suffered a dismasting in a collision in the first race, and it was his first time out. Not the best way to start! But Bill, it’s all up hill from here!

June 14 The course was set across the harbour mouth as the NE wind was judged to strong off the point. Consequently we had to contend with the dreaded nor-easterly and the wind swirls that come around the buildings on the east side of the harbour.
Some are better at the playing the shifts than others – congrats to Brian for a convincing win in difficult conditions.

July 26: Blustery day with winds NE most of the time! We raced in the harbour mouth with the challenge of winds that could not make up their mind from which direction they would come, or even if they would come at all!

Congratulations to our new member John Clay. Not a bad way to start off!

Aug 2: A beautiful evening! A moderate SW wind greeted us as the course was set of the point. It proceeded to die off as the evening progressed, however. If one of us could get the sails adjusted to the conditions, racing may have been closer. Thanks Brian for doing some match racing after the regular races to try and tune the rig.
Not enough Fantasies turned up to race.

September 27: We had lovely afternoon with mixture of sun and cloud (mostly cloud) and a light to moderate SSE wind. A few rain drops came and went not but enough to interrupt the racing. A good turnout with some close races.

 October 18 : Founder's Cup:
A cloudy day with a brisk (but not strong) SW wind. There was the odd wind shift which played into the contest, and a few issues with the proper side of the mark resulting in some surprisingly close racing. Brian takes the prize this week in the M12’s for making the least mistakes! Regretfully, the Cox’s could get their M12 to function.

Congrats to Peter and Brian for the wins.
